What is Cesarean ?

Cesarean meaning is same as LSCS meaning, both are almost synonyms,

Cesarean is a procedure which is used to Deliver Babies through

a surgical procedure performed on mothers,

In this procedure / surgery,

Baby is delivered through a cut at abdomen of the mother.

After delivering baby abdomen of mother is stiched back again,

In almost same planes and layers as was before.

Cesarean is normally done in situations where

Normal Vaginal Delivery poses some risks to mother or baby.

What is the Full Form of LSCS ?

LSCS stands for Lower Segment Cesarean Section.

It is one of the techniques used to deliver baby through Cesarean.

What is LSCS ?

LSCS simply means Cesarean Delivery,

But if the question comes to your mind, what is lscs in medical term,

Full form of LSCS is Lower Segment Cesarean Section,

Where lower segment is lower part of uterus where incision is made for delivering baby,

Today almost all Cesarean Operations are performed by the technique known as LSCS,

Earlier there used to be a technique called Upper Segment Cesarean Section,

USCS is also called Classical Cesarean,

The USCS is obsolete now,

However there are certain situations where USCS is still done.

What is C-Section Delivery ?

C-Section Delivery is same term for Cesarean Section or LSCS Delivery,

Although all these terms are medical terms,

General public are now knowing and using these terms in their day to day life.

lSCS, C-Section, Cesarean all are different terms in vogue but practically denotes a same procedure only.

How many stiches in C Section Delivery ?

Normally when Cesarean or LSCS is performed,

Gynaecologist have to put their hands inside uterus of patients,

hold the head of baby,

and pull the baby out by tightly holding head of baby,

that comes out to be a space of around 15 cm,

for such a procedure, there are around 6 to 8 stiches in cesarean wound.

however it Doesn’t make any difference in healing process,

All stiches heal in 7 to 10 days.

How long it takes to recover from C Section ?

So many factors affect our Body’s healing process,

If everything goes as it should be,

Then stiches are cut and removed after around 10 days.

If cesarean wound is properly healed there is no need for dressing ,

You can wash cesarean wound with soap after around 12 days from LSCS.
